USER ONE 


Matthew 28, works full time. 

Matthew loved history at school and enjoys learning new things, but since starting his full-time job he finds it hard to find time for reading and heading out to exhibitions. Instead he occasionally watches documentaries at home, but mostly he just reads up about news online and watches You Tube in bed, because it’s quick and easy. 

Every now and then Matthew will head to an event at the arts festival is or a late night at the gallery, which he always finds inspiring and thinks “I should do this more often”, but his weekends are busy catching up with friends and spending time with his girlfriend so he never ends up finding the time.

Mathew needs the time and motivation to get out and experience the museums and galleries of Wellington more often. 



USER TWO

Dedicated to design, Daisy.
  
 20, full time student at Massey University.

Daisy is reasonably interested in NZ history but is aware she doesnt know much about it. Being into design, since she was younger, she hasn't felt like she needs to know much about history, as her main interests lie with the creative side of the world. She took history in highs School and learned a fair amount, and has learnt some things throughout her life at primary school and from watching and reading the news. Most of the things taught at school was world history and she feels shes forgotten most of what she's learnt about NZ, although kind of wishes she knew a bit more.

Because Daisy is a full time student, she doesn't have much time to go to a museum, or research more into the history of NZ as all her time through the day is taken up by studying design, or going to her part time job. In weekends shes generally busy studying or catching up with friends and family if they're not busy.


There have been times when lucy has been free to go to museums or galleries but doesnt want to look lame by going by herself. She also feels as though it would be more interesting with a friend by her side, although they are busy with studying during the day too.


Daisy needs motivation, reasurrance, comfort, education, time, enjoyment.

USER THREE

Thomas, 25 - tourist visiting NZ for first time

Thomas is a young, adventurous tourist who is enthusiastic about learning more about New Zealand culture and history while on his travels. Due to his packed in schedule during the day of places to visit and sites to see, Thomas struggles to find some extra time to spare during the day to visit the local museum.

Thomas would like to be able to engage and be a part of the experience when he does get to the museum, but being a solo tourist, he struggles to find a way to easily communicate with locals or other tourists of his age who are interested in exploring together.

Thomas needs: engagement/interaction, communication, comfort/reassurance, entertainment

Thomas needs a way to connect with other people his age in an environment that allows him to interact with his interest in New Zealand history and culture.
