Brainstorming Ideas
In class we discussed the similarities between our interviews which gave us some idea for the kind of space we might want to look at designing. After some discussion we decided we liked the idea of 'Te Papa' at night. This gives us a lot of options for an exhibition, event or space that can occur in the evening. We thought of this as millennial generally don't have much time during the day to visit Te Papa because if things like work and uni, as it closes at 6pm. This will give them an opportunity to view exhibitions later in the day. We liked the idea of having a quiz night asking questions about Te Papa exhibitions and also NZ history. We need to make sure this quiz will be fun and intriguing and not boring for that age group.
We think the quiz nights could remain relevant by being related to current events and exhibitions and that there could be clues hidden around the museum to do with the questions so that before the quiz, so people have incentive to go around the museum and it is competitive. We think there could also be an app so that people who may be new to the area or maybe don't have a group can select their areas of knowledge and are then grouped together with people they don't know, like a meet-up, creating connections in the community. We also think it would be good if people could submit questions for the quizzes. We have been brainstorming ideas of ways to get people engaged in a quiz night such as photo-booths and dress-ups and will keep researching down this path.
