The Current Experience

We spent the day at Te Papa going through all of the exhibitions and we found that, although a lot of the exhibitions (particularly the Gallipoli exhibition) were interesting and interactive, we felt exhausted because it was so full-on and there weren't many good places to relax. We found the cafes to be too expensive for us and sell mainly cakes which were not filling, this meant that we probably didn't stay as long as we might have because we were worn out and hungry.

There were also a lot of areas and activities aimed at children, which left us feeling rather left out. We didn't see any other people our age and so it didn't really feel like a place that we belonged.

However, the interactive displays were really engaging for us as we didn't have the attention span or interest to read information, but video, audio and hands-on activities were really interesting and memorable.
